Our sewing workshop which offers young beginners a supportive, relaxed space to step away from the internet and master a useful life skill. Our beginner-friendly 6-WEEKS BOOTCAMP is the perfect place for kids to learn a rewarding new skill in a warm, encouraging environment.

 

For 2 hours per session kids will learn sewing machine basics, fabric cutting, and simple pattern following. By the end of the 6 WEEKS, they’ll proudly take home complete projects like:​​

• Hair Bonnets, Scrunchies and/or DuRag - Quick and rewarding; teaches working with elastic and turning fabric tubes right-side out.

• Custom Accent Pillow / Pillowcases - Focuses on Basic Straight Lines & Machine Control)

• Drawstring Backpack - Introduces sewing casing lines and threading cord through fabric.

• Cross Body Phone Cases - Teaches strap construction, hardware attachment (like D-rings), and magnetic snaps.

• Zipper pouches - Great for overcoming the fear of sewing zippers on basic rectangular pouches.

• Lined Book, Padded Tablet Sleeve, Fabric Book Marks - Small, quick wins that require minimal fabric and practice pivoting at 90-degree corners

• Personalized Slippers - Introduces curved seams, interfacing, and topstitching structure.

• Tote Bags with Pockets - Builds on basic tote construction with added organization features.

• Cozy Pajama Pants or Shorts - Teaches waistline elastic casing and basic garment fitting.

Designed for ages 8–17 with little to no experience, Kids will learn machine safety, basic operation, and pattern cutting / reading while building confidence and creative pride!
